Stan Hardman is a Director at the Leadership Dialogue and research associate in the Graduate School of Business and Leadership, University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and the Faculty of Management Studies, Durban University of Technology. He has been involved in Education throughout his working life in the formal schooling sector, the NGO sector and Universities. His particular interest has been at the interface of Education and Business and hence his involvement with the University of Cambridge Programme for Industry from which he holds a post-graduate qualification in cross-sector partnerships and the International Partnership Network in which he was involved for many years. His first degree was a BA, followed with an M ED and latterly a DBA. His current interest is in Leadership Development within partnership contexts where he brings systems thinking and complexity science to bear on real world problems where collaboration between the sectors is essential for holistic solutions. He sees the field of leadership as being essential in the radical rethinking required to address deeply rooted value based issues. He expresses this in his statement that we live in a world in which the poor are getting poorer, the rich are getting richer, and everyone is getting angrier. In this context leadership at all levels and all contexts has to accept the challenges of holistic well-being.
